The Squish is 3.5 months old (16 weeks)
Hike #6
We hit up this hike while camping down the way at Cougar Rock Campground.
Read about the camping part here.
This hike was such a great workout. Being 2 miles, with some decent elevation, we were sweaty. And it was overcast for most of the day, so I'm sure if the sun were out all day, it would be a good idea to carry an extra shirt (for anyone carrying their own squish, as well as for the squish).
Aaron and I have come up with the idea of putting The Squish in his rain jacket when we're going to be sweaty and carrying him.
Keeps him "not too warm" AND dry!
Since it was overcast, we didn't personally get the views of Rainier; but the views were pretty nonetheless!
This hike was tricky in some spots to downclimb with The Squish being front-carried.
Overall, it's one I'd do again in a heartbeat--nice length and felt good to hike and have a campground right down the road to go back to.
